Paula Patton

Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. She was born into a middle-class household living in Los Angeles, she harboured large dreams from the age of a young. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was a skill she learned from her mother, who also loved watching movies. Paula was active in her school's co-curricular activities and particularly awed by dramatics. Paula loved acting with friends and participated in the school's stage productions. After appearing in numerous shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School in Hamilton, she made the decision to make acting her career. She was in The University of Southern California's summer program, and enjoyed it immensely. She signed a 3-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. Once she had completed the assignment, she began becoming an assistant producer for TV documentaries. After that, she moved on into producing documentaries. While she enjoyed her job, she still wanted to become an actor. She began her acting career by playing a minor role on the movie romantic comedy Hitch, alongside Will Smith. In the years since, she's appeared in a variety of films and TV shows.
